We have already informed you that on October 26–27 in Tbilisi, at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, a congress organized by the Georgian Association of Onco-Urologists will be held. Its scale and significance are immeasurable for Georgian medicine and, moreover, for Georgia as a whole and its future. Why? Here are 4 points that will convince you:
An event of such scale organized by a Georgian association is unprecedented in the history of our medicine. On October 26, Tbilisi will host top-level specialists in oncology and urology. The visit of leading experts in the field will benefit Georgian academic medicine, as well as the international recognition and visibility of our country.
The congress will be attended by the heads of associations from our region — all neighboring countries. Against the background of today’s tense political situation, this is also an unprecedented case. This will increase the authority of our medicine in the region.
The congress will be a large-scale gathering of the medical community, attended by oncologists, urologists, radiologists, pathologists, representatives of fundamental sciences, as well as residents and students.
There will be a live broadcast from the congress on the website of the onco-urological association (gaou.ge) and on the website of the Karazanashvili Robotic Center (mmt.ge). Attendance will be free for members of the onco-urological association, and simultaneous translation will be organized for Georgian guests. Thus, the congress creates no barriers for the Georgian medical community and, by all means, seeks to facilitate its participation in this major world forum, serving the advancement and development of Georgian medicine.
In conclusion, we note that the Second World Congress of the Onco-Urological Association is the greatest investment in the successful future of our medicine and our country.
