MODULITH SLX-F2 stone fragmentation device has the ability to penetrate deep into the body with shock waves. While other models can only send waves up to 13 cm deep, the cylindrical source waves of STORZ MEDICAL extend to a depth of 18 cm. This is particularly important for patients with excess body weight. Thus, with this advanced technology, even overweight or obese patients can have precise focusing of shock waves on deeply located stones, allowing for their effective fragmentation and stone disintegration at a depth of 18 cm.

The MODULITH SLX-F2 device for urinary tract stone fragmentation, as the most advanced technology, is equipped with universal systems for visualization and targeting. In terms of visualization, STORZ MEDICAL’s lithotripter has made significant breakthroughs and progress, featuring both X-ray and ultrasound components. Unlike other devices, the MODULITH SLX-F2 lithotripter incorporates a new type of X-ray – Flat Panel technology, which directly converts the intermediate X-ray beam into an image.

With this technology, even radiopaque kidney stones become visible. The high-quality visualization is complemented by an automatic targeting universal mode, which is independent of the operator (specialist). This means that the shock waves are automatically focused on stones of any location and can break up even those kidney stones whose fragmentation would be impossible with other devices, thus guaranteeing stone fragmentation.

The MODULITH SLX-F2 lithotripter features an exceptionally advanced ultrasound component, which plays a crucial role in detecting and fragmenting radiopaque stones. With STORZ MEDICAL’s latest technology, this device is successfully used to treat children, pregnant women, and individuals for whom radiological exposure is undesirable. The device’s ultrasound system is indispensable and essential for intra-procedural monitoring, allowing full control of the stone fragmentation process and other manipulations. Unlike the MODULITH SLX-F2, other lithotripters do not have this capability!
