The National Scientific Center of Oncology of Uzbekistan has released the following statement:
Dear friends!
We are pleased to inform you that today marks an important day in the life of our center! We had the honor of welcoming renowned surgeon-urologist, Professor Guram Karazanashvili, who is the President of the Georgian Association of Onco-Urologists. During his visit to Uzbekistan, as part of a trip to the Karazanashvili Robotic Center in Georgia, the professor met with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Alisher Shadmanov. The Minister expressed his gratitude to Professor Karazanashvili for his visit and voiced his desire to strengthen ties between Georgia and Uzbekistan.
The director of our center, Professor Mirzagolib Tulyashev, introduced the guest to various departments of the center, followed by a joint ward round with Professor Karazanashvili in the onco-urology department.
The goal of the round was experience exchange – Professor Karazanashvili’s insights on treatment strategies for onco-urological patients were of significant importance.
In the afternoon, a high-tech surgery was jointly performed: a nerve-sparing prostatectomy with the formation of a cystourethro-neoanastomosis.
The nerve-sparing technique is designed to preserve the patient’s sexual function in the future.
It is noteworthy that the operation was performed using a high-frequency ultrasonic scalpel, which significantly reduces the duration of the surgery and blood loss.
The entire team of the center extends its deepest gratitude to Professor Guram Karazanashvili for sharing his professional expertise.
We hope that our collaboration with Georgian onco-urologists will become even more fruitful in the future.
