From September 16–18, the international medical conference Batumi Expo 2022 was held in Batumi, where physicians from various clinics around the world presented cutting-edge treatment methods and advanced technologies for a wide range of diseases.
Among the participants was Karazanashvili, whose leading specialists delivered presentations to attendees. The speakers introduced ultra-modern technologies and methods for prostate cancer treatment that have no equivalent in the entire region.
The discussions focused on the latest approaches to prostate cancer screening and early detection using micro-ultrasound. Prostate micro-ultrasound combined with targeted biopsy enables precise diagnosis by providing a highly detailed image of the prostate, showing the exact location, structure, and progression of the tumor.
Once the diagnosis is confirmed, robotic ultrasound therapy — a revolutionary, non-surgical and radiation-free treatment — can eliminate prostate cancer in just one day. As a result, not only is the patient’s life preserved, but also their lifestyle, quality of life, prostate gland, normal sexual function, and urination.
