On February 28, the “Georgian Association of Oncological Urology” held another conference across Georgia and the Caucasus on the topic “Modern Management of Prostate Cancer.”
The event discussed innovative methods and new approaches to prostate cancer screening and management, including:
▪️ The modern practice of prostate cancer screening in Georgia,
▫️ Micro-ultrasound (29MHz) for early detection of prostate cancer,
▪️ Active surveillance strategies for prostate tumors,
▫️ The development of robotic surgery in Georgia and the Caucasus,
▪️ Robotic ultrasound thermoablation of the prostate (Focal One),
▫️ Transperineal/targeted “fusion” biopsy based on micro-ultrasound, as the “gold standard.”
⚕️ The event was attended by 100 specialists, including leading urologists, clinical oncologists, radiation therapists, and radiologists, who shared their experiences with each other.
