On February 28, the “Georgian Association of Oncological Urology” held another large-scale conference on the topic – “Modern Management of Prostate Cancer.” The event discussed the latest innovations and approaches in prostate cancer screening and management, including:
▪️ Current practices of prostate cancer screening in Georgia;
▫️ Micro-ultrasound (29MHz) for early cancer diagnosis;
▪️ Strategies for active surveillance of tumors;
▫️ Advances in robotic surgery in Georgia and the Caucasus;
▪️ Robotic ultrasound thermoablation of the prostate (RUTA);
▫️ Transperineal/targeted “fusion” biopsy based on micro-ultrasound, as the “gold standard.”
⚕️ The conference was attended by 100 leading specialists, including urologists, clinical oncologists, radiation therapists, and radiologists, who shared their experiences with each other.
