An increasing number of foreign doctors are showing interest in the unique expertise of Professor Guram Karazanashvili. This time, Ukrainian and Belarusian urologists visited the Karazanashvili Robotic Surgery Center, where they had the opportunity to observe surgeries performed by the professor himself.
As part of the internship, they were able to learn from Professor Karazanashvili’s vast experience in onco-urological and reconstructive surgery, robotic ultrasound therapy, and more. They were introduced to the cutting-edge technologies used at the Karazanashvili Robotic Center — technologies that are currently available in only about 70 leading clinics worldwide.
The visitors were especially fascinated by the ultra-modern screening and non-invasive treatment methods for prostate cancer using robotic high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy — methods that, thanks to Professor Karazanashvili’s efforts, are available exclusively in Georgia, the region, and neighboring countries only at his center.
“The Karazanashvili Robotic Center is truly impressive. It offers a full range of reconstructive and onco-urological surgery, under the guidance of Professor Guram Karazanashvili. The center is equipped with the most advanced technologies in global medicine and, most importantly, possesses a highly valuable human resource.
This is a place that treats not only Georgians but also patients from across the Caucasus region. We are incredibly grateful for the warm hospitality and for the opportunity to learn here!”
— said Vasyl Lipka, one of the visiting doctors, expressing admiration for the professor’s unique experience and outstanding medical career.
He particularly emphasized the clinic’s leadership and pioneering role in the early diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, made possible by the integration of micro-ultrasound and the Focal One robotic HIFU system.
